Pursue a Second Degree

Official form to request a degree plan for a second Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from Amberton.

If it has been more than 3 years since you last attended Amberton University, you must reapply to the university. If additional graduate courses have been completed, please submit official transcripts to the Registrar. Please refer to the University Catalog for second-degree requirements.

Testimony from Ryan Fitch – MBA, Strategic Leadership, with Graduate Certificate in Finance – May 2026

I started my graduate coursework at Amberton in March 2025 utilizing my company’s Educational Assistance program. As a working professional managing a portfolio of institutional insurance and retirement accounts, I needed a program that was affordable and would challenge me without asking me to put my career or family on hold. Amberton delivered on all fronts. My professors understood that their students were working adults, and they pushed us to apply what we learned directly to our jobs.

I enrolled in the MBA in Strategic Leadership, and when the MBA in Finance launched, I was too far along to switch. Instead, I used my electives to earn the Graduate Certificate in Finance, and that combination turned out to be exactly what I needed. The business and leadership coursework sharpened how I build relationships and guide clients, while the finance courses deepened my understanding of the numbers behind every decision.

I graduated in 15 months with a 4.0 GPA, and shortly after, I was offered new role as a Client Success Manager at Gartner, a move that advanced my career and came with a raise. That has made a real difference for my family.

About two years ago, I decided to go back to school to get my MBA. So I started researching in what to concentrate on, schools to attend, and when to find time in my busy schedule for school. I found Amberton University in a ranking of some best schools, so I did some research into it, and decided it was the best for me, as a working adult. Earlier this month, I submitted my Graduation Application, the first step of my last step to graduate. Now, in a few months, I will be walking across the stage, so Dallas/Fort Worth metro, watch out I’m coming.

Looking back, I would not have given other schools so much of my time and attention. Amberton is great for working adults, all the professors I had knew that we were working, so they challenged us but was also respectful of our time. If you are thinking about getting your MBA, check out Amberton, it will check your boxes for you education dream.

As this time comes to a close, I am not sure what my next steps will be, but I am glad I chose Amberton to help further my future endeavors.
