Financial Aid Information

Financial Aid and Payment Options

Amberton University's philosophy is to provide an affordable, quality education with reasonable costs enabling students to "pay as they go" and not incur long-term debt. In keeping with this philosophy, all tuition and fees are due and payable at the time of enrollment (cash, personal or company check, American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa are accepted as forms of payment). However, the University does provide several payment options in order to assist students in handling their financial responsibilities.

Payment Deferment

Students with an acceptable credit history may make application to defer their educational costs when registering. A finance charge of 3/4 of 1% will be calculated on all unpaid balances as of the last business day of each month after all credits, charges, and payments have been applied.

Payment deferment options include personal payments, company reimbursement and financial aid.

Balances must be paid by the last day of the given session.

Military and Veterans Benefits

Amberton University is approved to participate in the various tuition assistance programs provided by the Department of Defense and each branch of the military. Amberton University is also approved to administer the Veteran’s Education Benefits Program.  Prior to enrolling, please contact your Education Services Officer (ESO) or a counselor within your military service for more information and approval.

Private Student Loans

While the University participates in Federal educational loan programs, we realize that unforeseen financial circumstances occur that may temporarily disrupt students’ Federal educational benefits.  For this reason, Amberton University has agreement(s) with loan providers who offer private loans for educational expenses.  These loans are not federally-funded and are designed to assist approved students with payment of tuition, fees, and textbooks.  They are not designed to provide income for day-to-day living expenses normally covered by the working adult’s employment income.  For more information on loan programs currently available, see the provider(s) listed below:

Sallie Mae® Smart Option Student Loan®
