My Unique Approach to Education

“I think education is most helpful when it is practical and helpful in everyday life and careers. I like to learn what works in problem situations, finding a creative solution for obstacles, and ideating a plan for success in unique circumstances.”

– Dr. Joe Pendleton

After 25 successful years as a musician, conductor, arranger, and music educator I was looking for a new challenge in life that did not force me to start over from scratch. I found a new calling in the library to help students succeed and utilize my technology skills, and it has become a wonderful experience personally and professionally. Both of my parents were educators – my father as a seminary professor and pastor, my mother as a teacher and educational diagnostician – so teaching and education have been part of my life since childhood.
