Jackie Johnston has 15 years teaching experience in mathematics at the senior high, community college and university levels. She has worked for over 12 years as a registered nurse. She has numerous endeavors as a nurse consultant and is a school board member at Union Hill ISD. Her current professional interests are innovative instructional strategies, technology in the classroom, distance learning, and mathematical applications in everyday life. She has a BS in nursing and mathematics from the University of Texas at Tyler, MS degree in higher education teaching with a minor in mathematics, and an Ed.D in supervision, curriculum, and instruction from Texas A&M Commerce. She is married to her husband, Bill, with three children, Bill, Sarah, Jacob, and one very spoiled grandson. Her hobbies include being involved with her children’s activities, reading, walking, working outside and spending time with her family and friends.
