My Unique Approach to Education

“I like communicating with my students and explaining concepts that students have difficulty grasping.”

– Dr. Dean Ohlhausen

I began my teaching career as a graduate assistant at Abilene Christian University. Upon graduating with a Master’s degree I taught mathematics at Christian College of the Southwest which later evolved into Amberton University. While at Christian College of the Southwest I also managed the college bookstore and did some of the accounting for the college. In 1970 I began teaching for the Dallas County Community College District at Mountain View College and later at Richland College. I taught a variety of courses including computer science, developmental mathematics and college level mathematics through calculus and statistics. I have been and adjunct instructor at Amberton University since 1987 teaching mathematics and business statistics.
