I'm passionate about leveraging evidence-informed strategies and iterative feedback mechanisms, I seek to facilitate a transformative academic experience that empowers my students to navigate complexity, embrace ambiguity, and contribute meaningfully within various professional and scholastic contexts. Through a commitment to adaptive pedagogy, my instructional approach emphasizes the cultivation of critical thinking, lifelong learning competencies, and metacognitive awareness, ensuring alignment with evolving disciplinary standards and broader institutional goals.”

Brief Biography:
Dr. Richard C. White, Ph.D., is a nationally published scholar and university professor.
He holds a PhD in the field of communication studies and has authored a dozen academic conference papers, peer-reviewed journal articles, and published book chapters, along with over a decade and a half of teaching experience at the university level. He also has experience in administrative leadership, having previously served as an elected faculty senator as well as the Course Director for a prominent Professional and Technical Communication sequence at a Tier One status research university. Dr. White’s research has been presented at academic conferences at the regional, national, and international level. His years of experience as an academic scholar in higher education began after he spent a decade as a professional journalist and editor at multiple news publications. That decade of professional experience coupled with his advanced degrees in two distinct Communication disciplines (interpersonal communication and mass communication/journalism) has granted him the versatility and flexibility to teach across several Communication-related courses and departments. Dr. White’s professional journalism career included several years of writing, reporting, and research experience with several thousand published news articles in over a dozen cities.
