Bio

My Unique Approach to Education

“Students are successful in the courses that I facilitate for several reasons, such as the external motivation provided to them through my intellectual excitement for their journey as students. For example, health administration and its related disciplines are a perfect opportunity for students searching for a rewarding career that requires compassion, professionalism, and advanced education. Additionally, my learning activities are designed to help guide students in researching topics aligned with their career aspirations. The most tangible aspect of a predictor of student success in my courses is the ability to empathize with adult learners from a diverse population of students. For example, my demographic profile mirrors that of a non-traditional learner. For instance, I went to college for the first time in my thirties, a working adult with family obligations, and searched for just-in-time education to accomplish my career goals. In other words, my life is a living model and example of what each student strives for when embarking on a college degree. As a result, students exit my courses more knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and optimistic about their academic degree choices and prospects in the healthcare industry.  Students are better academic writers upon passing my courses, such as their ability to integrate peer-reviewed references and APA standards into their research. The goal is to set high expectations for students and then provide them with the tools and feedback to meet or exceed them.”
