Assessment Coordinator

Description:
Amberton University, a leader in adult oriented education since 1971, offers bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the main campus in Garland, TX, the University’s center in Frisco, TX, and online.

The Coordinator will build upon the foundation of student learning assessment at the program and institutional-wide levels. Responsibilities include coordinating assessment activities, providing necessary professional development for faculty and staff, and collecting and reporting assessment data that leads to actionable use of results by all departments.

The successful candidate will be knowledgeable with multiple measures of assessment, rubric creation, survey methods and analysis of data and results. Specific knowledge of the assessment requirements of SACS is considered a plus.

Garland Campus
 
Education:
Master’s degree in education, social/behavioral sciences, statistics, or related field requiring expertise in research design or methods.
 
Qualifications:
Experience in the assessment of student learning and the assessment process in education.

Strong self- starter with the capacity to envision an assessment process and implement strategically across all segments of the University.

Strong communications skills, both oral and written communications, and capable of interfacing with all university areas to build capacity for the assessment process in a team environment.

Specific knowledge of the assessment requirements of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools is preferred or experience with a regional accrediting agency.
